I write warm, folkloric fantasy: stories with more kitchens in them than battlefields, told by a narrator who admits it is choosing what to tell you.

I live in Sebastian, Florida. For more than a decade my actual job has been inside nonprofits. Ten years of it was community outreach in Paterson, New Jersey, then homeless services data in Brevard County, and now running development for a nonprofit in Vero Beach. Different titles, mostly the same work: sitting with people the system has stopped counting, and then writing down what they need in a way somebody with money will believe.

Greyhollow is a valley that had learned to expect nothing, and that took one patient man about fifteen years to unteach. I did not invent that part.
